Here are some prayers that you may like to say — or print to say at a later date. Every tuesday night my friends and I meet for prayers and to say The Holy Rosary and also The Divine Mercy Chaplet. The prayers below are some of the ones that we use. I hope it is helpful. If you know of any that I should add, please let me know!
Prayer For The Poor Souls;
My Jesus, by the sorrows you suffered in your agony in the garden, in the scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in your crucifixion and death, have mercy on the souls in purgatory, especial those who are most forsaken. Deliver them from the dire torments they endure, and admit them to your most sweet embrace in paradise.
*Our Father Prayer*
*Hail Mary Prayer*
*Glory Be Prayer*
Eternal rest grant to them, O’ Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
Amen
Prayer To Our Lady Of Grace
I turn to You O Mother dear, in humble supplication asking that I follow you. You are my inspiration. I ask for every simple things to walk in lowly ways. But may I always walk with you the remainder of my days. Give me the grace I see in You and make me be forgiving. Let me never abandon Him in prayer and in thanksgiving. I leave with you and with your son these fervent prayers of mine, knowing that from Him through you comes every gift divine.
Amen.
Prayer To Saint Michael
Blessed Michael the Archangel, defend us in the hour of conflict: be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God restrain Him, we humbly pray and Do thou, O’ Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God, thrust satan down into hell and with him all the wicked spirits who wander through the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
For Priests
Give, O’ Father to your priests the grace of worthy service: renew in their hearts the spirit of Holiness so that they may teach us as they should and bring us closer to you through their example. Through the gift of your Holy Spirit, O’ Lord, give them prudent behavior, tenderness of wisdom, moderation, gentleness, purity of heart, freedom of spirit. Fill them entirely with your Holy love so that they may belong entirely to you and may conduct themselves in a manner worthy of praise, but without seeking after the praise of this world.
Amen.
Prayer of the consecration of the family
Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I come to you to consecrate myself and my entire family to your United Hearts. I desire to renew the vows of my Baptism and place each member of my family through an act of faith, hope and love in to loving union with the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I dedicate myself and each member of my family to the Guardian Angels God has given each one of us. O’ Holy Guardian Angels, enlighten, guide and protect each one so as to lead us safely home to Heaven. At Fatima, dear Mother of God, you appeared with St. Joseph and the Child Jesus blessing the world. O Holy Family, bestow blessings upon me and my entire family so that we may live in the Christ-Life. I desire that each member of my family adore always the Most Blessed Trinity and love our God in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Grant peace to each member of my family. Keep each one in the grace of Jesus Christ. Never permit any of my family to stray from the truth. (For any family member who has strayed, I beseech you to bind up the wounds, lift up the fallen, restore and keep each of our loved ones in Grace. Bind them come back to their Father’s true Home.) Amen.
Morning Offering
O’ Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation of sin, reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops, and of all Apostles of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father.
Amen
