Almighty God, Revealed.

Election, creativity and more.

I am just adding to the debacaule by even mentioning the U.S election, but here we are. I just want to say that I will be extremely happy when it’s over. I know I’m Catholic therefore I’m probably supposed to want to vote for Mccain… but let’s face it. I’m not American. I’m Australian and us Aussies are better known for our laziness… let me adopt and take on that stigma for just a moment to say, I don’t really care what the outcome is. I don’t know who the lesser of two evils are. I’ve heard some things that both Palin and Mccain have said publicly and think they can make some good points, but ultimately they sound ignorant about some issues. And then on the other side of the ring, we have Obama who is pro-choice…  Mccain says some hypocritical things, wants to continue fighting in Iraq, one of my main gripes with Bush… So basically, I’m leaving it in God’s hands – I have decided I don’t know enough about American politics to have an opinion, nor do I really want one. I don’t think ill of either candidate… I will pray for the right outcome, not for who seems like a better person (which let’s face it, most of the general uneducated public are actually just voting for, right? who better relates to them as a person.).

I’ve finally finished the work that I was doing at the weekend, late sunday night I was finished. I’m glad it’s out of my hair — but not without drama. Apparently the client wasn’t happy with the work, doesn’t want to pay. Only, the person who sourced me to do the work said what I had done was fine, exactly what the client had originally wanted and thinks she just doesn’t want to pay up because it is going to be expensive. I hope it all pans out well, cos that work took me hours upon hours back-to-back just to get it all finished by the date that she asked me to.

I spent the day making Rosaries, religious jewelery including phone charm rosaries, bracelets, keychains and an actual large red rosary. I am really quite proud of some of my work. I am becoming faster and more skilled at what I’m doing. I finally opened up a website that I will sell these creations on. I will be donating a certain amount from each sale to a charity but I am not sure which one yet. If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know. I have an extremely sore back from hunching over the coffee table in the living room working my litte novelty-sized hands to the bone. I will ask also, that anyone reading this, Catholic or not, check out and link my little site when I have it up and going. :) It would mean so much!

I watched The Bone Collector, 6 episodes of The (U.S) Office (if you have never watched this show, I assure you, one of the funniest, silliest shows ever. It’s exactly my kind of humour) and an episode of Without a Trace. I bought some nice little Rosary peices from ebay for my creations, so I hope that they will arrive tomorrow cos I am running out of peices, lol.

I went to my usual tuesday rosary night tonight, but I was the only one who turned up. It didn’t matter, we still did the scriptural rosary anyway. I love it. I love the feeling of wanting to do it, rather than feeling like I can’t wait for it to be over. We read some of The Gospel of Matt. as well and chatted for a bit. Tomorrow night, I am going to someone’s place for a Theology of The Body night. I was quick to turn it down because I’m a bit funny about social things, but… something my friend said kind of changed my mind. So I think I’ll go. It’ll be adoration first and then TOB. Theology of the Body is amazing, I have learned so much about my faith since reading a book on it. Fantastic stuff, if you don’t already know about it.  I have a fantastic TOB workshop on cd from World Youth Day… so if anyone is interested, I am happy to send a copy to you wherever you are from :)

And lastly before I nip off to bed (it’s 3am! where did the night go?), I think everyone needs to have a listen to this amazing song by Jason Mraz called “Details In The Fabric.” … a bit moody, but beautiful. I love songs like this. :) Maybe I’ll buy the album.

God Bless you all.
